Job Description:
As a School Registered Nurse (RN) with ProCare Therapy, you will have the opportunity to work in a school setting, providing essential healthcare services to students. You will collaborate with a team of educators, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to support the well-being of students and ensure their healthcare needs are met.
Overview:
- Full Time
- 5 Days a Week
- Bus riding required, 1:1 with a middle school student -- suctioning, trach, very medically fragile.
- Start: As Soon As Possible
- End: May 24, 2024
Key Responsibilities:
- Administering basic medical care and first aid to students as needed.
- Managing and administering medications to students in accordance with school policies and procedures.
- Monitoring and maintaining student health records.
- Assessing and addressing the health needs of students with chronic conditions.
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and healthcare providers to create and implement individualized healthcare plans (IHPs) for students with special health needs.
- Responding to medical emergencies and providing immediate care.
- Promoting health and wellness education within the school community.
- Maintaining a clean and organized healthcare office.
Requirements:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Illinois
- CPR and First Aid certification.
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric healthcare setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Compassionate and dedicated to the well-being of students.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
